Per Mike Hendrickson's suggestion I called the St. Louis Co Sheriff. They were very nice and took my information. I gave them my story and mentioned the other emails of birders who had the same experience (I even mentioned the pig, glad I missed that one). They are sending someone out to talk to the people who live there.
