Thurs. morning Steve and I were watching two dozen White-Throated Sparrows
foraging in our back yard and noticed an anomaly: an Ovenbird had joined the
gang. Steve left for work before a female Eastern Towhee appeared. Then I heard
a clear whistle and saw a male Baltimore Oriole brilliant in the morning sun.
All the while the singing of the White Throats told me spring really is here.
