I did not see the Western tanager at all on Wednesday 4/30. I suspect with the relatively calm, clear night it may have moved on. We tried putting fruit out at the feeder to attract it, but all we saw were the usual birds.
Oh well, such is birding. But what joy and excitement one bird brought while he was here!
