I found an active Red-shouldered Hawk nest at the Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen today while I was out with a group of high school students. I would have never noticed it if it hadn't been for the fact that the bird on the nest (presumed female) was very vocal as she sat. The male(?) was close by.
