This morning at Rapids Lake MVNWR, I saw a Northern Shrike near the visitors
center. He chattered a bit as he was being harrassed by some robins. Sparrows
for the morning were Song, Swamp, Fox(quite numerous), Savannah(numerous in one
area), Lincoln's, Vesper, American Tree(several), and Junco. Also saw
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Winter Wren, and Eastern
Bluebird. The only different waterfowl were some Lesser Scaup. There were 5
Lesser Yellowlegs at the Chevalle wetlands in Chaska but not much else besides
Canada Geese and Mallard.
