Don Kienholz just called to report that city workers found a dead
Snowy Owl yesterday, Oct 27, near the corner of Garfield Ave &
Railroad St in the Duluth harbor area. Don had a chance to look at the
owl today and saw no obvious injuries, indicating that it may have
died of starvation. This relatively early occurrence may indicate that
an invasion of Snowies and perhaps other northern owls might be on the
