Hi everyone - I have to dispute the report of the pelican at Blackdog having died. I saw it alive and well at around 3:00 pm on New Year's Day. So unless there are two pelicans or this one is risen from the dead, it was doing fine when I saw it. There were several other birders observing it at the same time.
