Thursday, Jan 15, the owl was not in the box at 7:30 am. Yesterday morning the owl had a deer mouse and a meadow vole stored in the box. It fed on them off and on throughout the day and into the evening. It was feeding at 10:30 pm last night. It never did sun itself or come out of the box until after I went to bed. The mouse and vole were gone this morning. So it seems that in spite of the -18 F temperature the owl was off to work.
