A Hooded Merganser couple are hanging out in the north end of the open
water channel between Eagle Lake and Pike Lake. A Great Horned Owl,
many Cedar Wax Wings acting like yellow-rumped warblers (had me fooled
for a while), Song Sparrows and many other active birds in a loud,
energetic calling contest throughout the woods.
