Windy day for a walk yesterday but here's the Eagle Lake scoop.

Many Hooded Mergansers in breeding interaction
Many Common Mergansers
One Red-Breasted Merganser taking on the waves with the seagulls
one Bald Eagle
2 Pied-billed Grebes at end of channel between Eagle and Pike Lakes
Many Fox Sparrows along marsh trail between the lakes
Many Song Sparrow
4 American Coots
4 Trumpeter Swans (seem to be hanging out for the last week - also flying over my home calling in formation and the usual massing Red-winged Blackbirds, Common Grackles, Robins, Cardinals, Canadian Geese, etc., etc., etc. Active Cooper's and Sharp-Shinned Hawks (these pretty birds I know since they sit outside my window for thorough ID confirmation)

Pine Siskins

Non-avian note
One mink crossing open boat dock area stopping to check me out and fled before I could get camera out.
