On the Breeding Bird Atlas web site, a feature has been added where you can
request a block to survey.

>From the main page

    http://mnbba.org/

go to

Atlas Blocks -> Find a Block - Google Earth

move to the area that you are interested in by panning and zooming the
Minnesota map image. Click on the map and a square will appear indicating a
block. You can only request a "priority" block, so click in the area to the
North, South, East or West of the area that you want to find a Red outline for
a block. Click on the upper right button to "Register Current Block". (You
need to be logged in, see below.) When you go back to the map, your block
will be outlined in Yellow, indicating that this is a requested block. When
the Regional Coordinator approves the block, it will show as Orange.

To login, click on "Login!" on the top menu bar. You need to register, so
click on Register and fill in the information. Use your actual name for the
login name.

The plan is to use Cornell to assign blocks, once the Cornell web site is
operational. This assignment may be redundant after we learn more about the
Cornell site and it becomes operational.
