To anyone in or near Dakota County:
The International Crane Foundation's annual crane count will be held
at 5:30-7:30 AM, on Saturday, April 18,
this year. This is a multi-year, multi-state crane count that relies
on volunteers to count cranes by county.
In Dakota County, we are looking for volunteers to identify potential
new count locations and to help cover new locations by counting cranes
on count day.
It's only 2 hours, it can be a lot of fun, it is a chance to be
involved with a citizen science project, and it helps
us to understand the abundance and distribution of cranes in Minnesota.
