Despite the wind, I still found a few nice birds at the Crow-Hassan Park
Reserve during my hike this morning (near Rogers, Hennepin Co.) Highlights:

-Yellow-headed Blackbird (1 male on Sylvan Lake)

-possible Henslow's Sparrow: I heard it inconsistently on two occasions, but
with the wind and other nearby vocalizing birds and the fact that I couldn't
find the bird, I couldn't confirm it...but as far as I know, this is the best
place in the county to find Henslow's.

-Orchard Oriole (1 young male)

-Grasshopper Sparrow (1)

-Bobolink (1)

-Blue-winged Warbler (3 singing on territory)

Although these species are pretty common in other areas, they seem to be more
difficult to find in Hennepin County, due to the limited range of adequate
habitat. And for those unfamiliar with Crow-Hassan, it is right near the border
of Wright County and south of 94. Maps are available online.

Good birding!
