At Purgatory Creek Recreation Area, 13001 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, at 6
pm, we saw a male Ruddy Turnstone and a Dunlin (the Dunlin did not appear to
have a full black belly patch). They were first spotted on the sand island with
many Caspian Terns, Ring-billed Gulls, a few Forester's Terns and 2 American
White Pelicans. The Dunlin then flew over to the grass covered island east of
the sand island (we were then at the observation platform on the west
shoreline).

The water is getting low and Spotted Sandpipers and Least Sandpipers can still
be seen on the mud flats.
