There were 3 vocal Least Bitterns today, June 8, along the Clay/Otter
Tail Co line, on 460th Street, 1 mile east of Otter Tail Co Rd 21. Two
of the 3 bitterns were visible on both sides of the county line. (This
location is in the SE corner of Clay Co / the NW corner of Otter Tail
Co.)
Farther east of this location on 460th St there was also a late
migrant Olive-sided Flycatcher; an Orchard Oriole was seen along CR 21
south of 460th; and a few cuckoos of both species were seen and heard
in this area and in nearby Maplewood State Park.
