I checked out the pond and as of 1:15pm the bird was still there. A clarification on directions to the pond is as follows: from Cedarlake rd turn SOUTH on Greenbriar and go approx 1/2 mile and you will find 10511 on your right. The pond sits right in front of the building and is easily visable from the street. There is a clump of cattails etc. on one side and that was where I saw the bird.
