Hi folks!

Another season of fall migration has begun. We are very fortunate to have
counter extraordinaire Karl Bardon join us once again as our raptor and
passerine (songbird) counter, and he will be with us from yesterday's start
to the end of November. Raptor banding should be underway soon and we
education folks will be up at the overlook from September 1 through the end
of October.

Look for updated count totals here:
http://www.hawkcount.org/month_summary.php?rsite=288 or click on "See the
Raptor Count" on our home page (www.hawkridge.org). I will also be
forwarding each day's totals to the hawkridge Yahoo group
(http://www.hawkridge.org/about/news.html) after counter Karl enters them
into the online database. See yesterday's numbers below my signature.

To plan your visit to Hawk Ridge this fall, please visit our website first.
I put a link on the home page to our "Plan Your Visit" page. It contains
all the info you'll need to make the most of your visit to Hawk Ridge,
whether you want to take part in the activities at the overlook or spend a
quiet day watching raptors at Summit Ledges. If you have any questions,
feel free to email me at [email protected] and I'll be happy to help you
out.

More information to come!

Happy hawkwatching,

Debbie
