Kevin and I are seriously talking about heading to Texas in late December
for two weeks of birding along the Gulf Coast Birding Trail. We have never
been to Texas before. If anyone has advice or suggestions for us, we'd
certainly appreciate it. We'd like to know of Great Blue Heron and Roseate
Spoonbill rookeries, and we'd also like to know if there would be a good
Hummingbird location that time of year (we've only seen Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds and are anxious to observe others). We'd appreciate knowing
what to expect in "finds" for that time of the year. We're just beginning
online research and we did order the 2008 book, Finding Birds On The Great
Texas Coastal Birding Trail: Houston, Galveston, and the Upper Texas Coast.

Thank you,

Linda and Kevin Krueger
