The Lake Superior boat trip that I usually organize myself each fall season is now part of Hawk Weekend! If you are interested and like to be part of the field trip you can sign up by being part of Hawk Ridge "Hawk Weekend" which will be held on September 12. Again we will be birding on Lake Superior cruising the south and north shores chumming for gulls and terns. There is no way to say what other birds we might see on this trip because as you know anything is possible to find on Lake Superior in mid-September. Hopefully we can view a jaeger species or possibly a Little Gull or a Sabine's Gull. There is a lot scenery to view from the lake and Capt. Dan will also inform us of some landmarks and other interesting facts of Lake Superior.
