Carolyn and I spent the morning in and around Sherburne NWR. Highlights were
Townsends Solitaire and Red Crossbills. The solitaire was in its previously
posted (See Pastor Al's posts) spot and was heard only, as we didn't walk
off the road due to the number of hunters wearing orange in the immediate
area. The crossbills were about half way from the solitaire spot as we drove
west towards Co. Rd. 5. There were about 10 flitting, eating off the white
pine cones, just on the north side of the road.
