Amazon River Cruise: Birding in Northeastern Peru
with Ben Wilson, birder and photographer
Dec. 10, 7 p.m.
Fairview Community Center
1910 West County Road B in Roseville,
just west of Fairview Avenue
open to the public, with free parking

Join Ben Wilson for a slide-show cruise down the Peruvian Amazon and immerse
yourself in the amazing birds, mammals, flora and human residents of this
important region. As Ben notes, the rich biodiversity of the Amazon Basin helps
attract visitors, and eco-tourism is important to local economies. This region
faces the same threats seen in other South American countries, primarily
hunting and trapping of wildlife, logging and a growing population that
encroaches on wildlife habitat. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
