To those planning on meeting at power plant today at 3:45pm, note that neither myself or the other "leaders" will be there for reasons of sickness, working, or being out-of-town.
I spoke with the plant manager, Tom Fallgren, today and advised him accordingly. He's fine with people arriving and viewing gulls. When you arrive, just drive thru the main gate (if open) and park to your immediate right in the visitors lot. Tom will watch for you and come out to greet you. Tom will point you in direction of the back gate beyond which you will view the birds. Note, you can leave at any time, singly or as a group...BUT...we warned that the best gulls always seem to arrive near the end of viewing time. If the exit gate is closed, it will open automatically as you slowly approach. Finally, Friday's viewing will have a few "leaders" present. Again meet at 3:45pm on that day.
