Hi all,

In the past year or so, I haven't done too much birding.  I think in 2009, I
saw a total of 93 species or so.

I've been looking for a new job and I think I might have found one that will
allow me to stay here in Minnesota for at least the next year or so, maybe
longer.  If all works out, I will probably be starting my new job sometime in
February or so.

I'm writing to the list now with the hope that perhaps someone would want to go
out with myself and possibly my wife Jill.  One of the reasons I  lost interest
was because I was getting to the point where I was seeing the same species over
and over.  I'd like to try and find some stuff that I've either not seen in a
long time or that I even never seen.  It could even be a Minnesota lifer.

I guess I got somewhat recharged when I was in New Orleans on Monday and
Tuesday and I saw an Orange-crowned Warbler, a Northern Mockingbird and a
Carolina Chickadee.

I know a couple of you would probably like to go out with us, but I'd like to
make some new birding friends.  If any of you are going to the next birds and
beers, maybe I'll see you there.

We don't necessarily have to go out now, we can wait until it's warmer if you
like.  I'm 99% percent certain I'll be staying and working out of my place in
Hastings.
