Last night I went for a run after 10PM to listen for owls close to my
house. Winds were calm.
Specifically I went to the junction of Lind Road and Hwy 73 north of
Chisholm where earlier in the week a GGO was seen.
Although I did not hear the GGO, I did hear a N. Saw-Whet much closer
to my home than the GGO site.
It was calling at 10:30PM along Cty Rd 25, approximately 5 miles south
of the junction of Hwy 22 in Angora.
Habitat was mixed woods, not too far from farm fields.
There is also a Barred Owl calling in the woods around my yard in Britt.
