this morning we had a three Hooded Mergansers on our lake edge. The female
visited one of our wood duck houses. At least a pair of Woodies were also
here, with the female flying into the trees and sitting on top of houses. I
ducked my head out, hoping to hear the puttering of the courting mergansers,
but all I heard was a singing Pileated.

yesterday we had a bull mink cruising the edge of the ice. I have noticed
beaver damage of the trees at a small pond on I-394 at Hopkins Crossroads in
Minnetonka and essentially in the middle of the cities.
