I visited Lake Byllesby saturday late about 6pm. Seven species of waterfowl,
ten species of shorebirds, and four of gulls and terns. at first there were
only a few Willets and some distant yellowlegs, but eventually they came closer
revealing: Killdeer, Semi-Palmated Plover, both Yellowlegs, Willets, Spotted
SP, Least SP, Pectoral SP,
Dunlin, and Wilsons Phalarope. The most numerous were the Lesser Yellowlegs
(~30 or 40), then 6 Willets. All othes were three or less individuals ID'd,
although there may have been more in the distance. Most of the gulls were
Franklins (~30), many with pink blushed breasts.

At Randolph Industrial Park I found many singing Grasshopper and Savannah
Sparrows, plus some mostly quiet vesper Sparrows, and both Meadowlarks. the
guard at the industrial park said that he regularily sees a pair of Gray
Partridge and that there were about 20 hanging around this winter.
