Yesterday, late in the afternoon, a Three-toed woodpecker came to the peanut feeder at our friend's cabin on Sunshine Lake, Rice Lake Township, near Duluth. Several us were sitting and talking right by the feeder so the woodpecker didn't stay long. The cabin is surrounded by many very old and very tall White Pine trees. There is no public access to this lake.
