I thought some might be interested in my sightings of Robins for the last two
days.
Tuesday morning I when out on my deck with a cop of coffee to enjoy another
beautiful morning, I noticed a number of Robins flying south over me but did
not concentrate on them at first. I continued watching until they stopped
flying over, about 30 minutes. I then estimated the number and was surprised
that it came to over 1000. Tuesday evening I went out on my deck at 6:35 and
counted 199 Robins in 15 minutes until they stopped flying. Because of what had
happened on Tuesday I went out on my deck this morning at 7:00 and at 7:09 the
first Robin appeared. This time I was prepared with a pencil and paper and
counted the individuals as they passed over head. They kept streaming for just
32 minutes and the count came to 1379. It gets better, this evening I again
went out on the deck at just before 6:00 and at 6:01 the first Robins
appeared. They kept streaming over with the last stragglers passing over at
6:45. This time the total was 1713. There must be a roost somewhere in
Richfield or Southeast Mpls.

my location is 8633 Harrison Circle in Bloomington, in the morning they came
from the north by northeast and in the evening they came from the south by
southwest. They essentially were flying up and down France Avenue.
