Two FOY (Dakota Co.) Pine Siskins were at my feeders today along with some
Purple Finches that have been around a while. OK, so there not as charismatic
as some OTHER birds currently being reported around the state, but considering
this has been THE single most birdless year for me (again, in Dakota Co.)
seeing siskins is like...well...rediscovering the Passenger Pigeon. Notice I
didn't say Ivory-billed Woodpecker. I think I have a better shot at the
pigeons.
