Speaking of compulsive behavior, during my 25 years of banding in Aberdeen,
South Dakota, I banded 13,239 Pine Siskins. In my blog today I report on two
of the more interesting recoveries among those birds.  I also included a
photo of one of this year's crop, which finally visited our feeders here in
Northfield this week.  You can also download a copy of a paper reporting on
a siskin/crossbill hybrid.
