Birded in Scott county this morning and part of the afternoon. Did not turn up
anything to unusual, but did get to see a lot of waterfowl.

Here are some of the species of birds I observed today:

Wilkie Unit & Blue Lake Water Treatment Plant.
Trumpeter Swan
Gadwall
Canvasback
Redhead
Ring-necked Duck
Lesser Scaup
Hooded Merganser
Missed on Common Merganser, which were observed by several other birders that I
talked with there.
American Coot

Lapland Longspurs - just West of Highway 169, along Highway 101 - Thanks to
Joel Claus for letting me know about these birds.

Mill pond in Veterans Park in Shakopee
Bufflehead
American Black Duck

Savage - Schroeder Park?
One access to this park is from the intersection of Flag Avenue and 124th
Street and there is a large pond with open water there.
