Jan. 4th around 3 PM I observed a Northern Shrike on a utility wire along Hwy 30, 1/4 mile east of 120th Ave. (about 5 miles east of Blooming Prairie just past the second 90 degree curve). A shrike (this one?) has been seen in previous years in this same area.
