In the last four days, I have had a NORTHERN SHRIKE, an immature
SHARP-SHINNED HAWK and an adult COOPER'S HAWK at my feeders. For the
most part, they seem to go after the House Sparrows -- there is a good
reason to keep feeding the sparrows! They still have to catch about
fifteen more to wipe them out. I also have about a dozen COMMON REDPOLLS
coming to my feeders along with the normal birds. Don and Hulda Lind who
live near Gun Lake south of Palisade still have a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER
coming to their feeders -- as well as PINE GROSBEAKS, COMMON REDPOLLS
ans BLACK-BILLED MAGPIES. Warren Nelson
