I spoke with the homeowner this morning who has been seeing the W. tanager. He said that from 6-7am he sat on the patio (as he does every morning) watching the birds and drinking his coffee. He DID NOT see either tanager, nor the orchard oriole that was present Saturday and Sunday. He did see a red-headed woodpecker. The tanagers were present on and off all day yesterday. He said that there was very little bird activity of any kind relative to the last week or more. P.S. anybody who needs a N. cardinal for their Becker County list, there was a female at my feeder this morning.
