Spent the day with Sandy Komito at Sax Zim Bog where we were looking for birds to photograph.
Highlights: -Great Gray Owl -Connecticut Warbler We saw a lot of birds and spent some time talking about the book "The Big Year" and the soon to be released movie "The Big Year". I guided Sandy previously and it was nice to have him call me last week and wanted to spend the half the day with me in the "bog" photographing birds. Owen Wilson the actor will be Sandy Komito in the movie. The book nor the movie will be a accurate portrayal of the men who did the big year in 1998. The book doesn't even come close on what Sandy is like. Sandy is a GREAT guy with a fantastic sense of humor and most of all a very kind man!! Good birding.
