Cory Lake (located 6 miles south and one east of Madison) was a fantastic shorebird location due to draining and pumping by the DNR last year. This year heavy rain fall has made this a bigger challenge and now with the "state shutdown" the pumping has been stopped. Time will tell if this location is going to be suitable for shorebirds this year.
