This evening a flock of at least a dozen Nighthawks passed over the neighborhood of Hamline and Wellesley in St. Paul, moving in a southerly direction, in what appeared to be migration rather than foraging mode. Since an outdoor project was occupying my attention, they may have been part of a much larger flock that was missed; I don't recall seeing that many of this species here before. Linda Whyte
