I've encountered two Olive-sided Flycatchers over the past two days, each at
a different site. Yesterday I observed one at the General Mills Nature Area
in Golden Valley. I saw him/her several times during my walk there. This
park is off of Duluth Street, which runs west of Winnetka Avenue and is
about a mile north of Highway 55. Today I saw one at Westwood Hills Nature
Center in St. Louis Park, and I saw him/her as I was on the southwest side
of the lake. I also heard and observed a Yellow-bellied Flycatcher there on
Tuesday (Aug. 23rd) near the parking lot.

Warbler numbers and diversity are poor. I found 11 species yesterday in
Golden Valley, with Wilson's Warbler being the most common and abundant.
I've encountered almost no migrating vireos, tanagers, etc. I have had no
trouble finding Empidonax flycatcher species, however.

Good birdin'!
