Yesterday, July 4, I heard what I thought was a Henslow's Sparrow just southeast of New London in Kandiyohi County. I did not see the bird, so this morning, July 5, I returned with Ron Erpelding and the bird was singing again. We were able to find and observe the sparrow for about 20-25 minutes. The bird was in a grassland just north of the ACMC clinic SE of New London on 74th St. NE, on the east side of the road, just beyond a No Trespassing sign.
