At 5:45 this afternoon, I found 2 (there could have been more) Red Crossbills in Evergreen Cemetery in Mantorville. One female bird obligingly perched on the dead top of a White Pine where I could get a scope on it, while at least one more bird called occasionally nearby.
The cemetery is located on the south side of town. Look for Cemetery Drive on your left off of Hwy 57, and follow it directly into the cemetery. I also was able to see at least 4 Red Crossbills at the Hormel Nature Center in Austin, so they are still hanging around at that location.
