The birds must have descended into my yard knowing the cold weather was
coming.  I counted 13 FOX SPARROWS, 15 WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS and at least
30 Dark-eyed Juncos eating the seed I scattered on the ground.

After losing 2 Pileated Woodpeckers to window strikes this summer, I still
had 3 in the yard yesterday.  There must have been a lot of them in the
area this year.
