Out birding today with friends, I was surprised to find a late lingering Wood Thrush. It was seen foraging with 3 Hermit thrushes. In comparison to the Hermits, the Wood Thrush was larger, with very rufous upperparts and very bright white underparts, and large dark spotting. Made the Hermit thrushes look drab in comparison. Seen on the first small loop of the hiking trails.
We also had a small flock of American Pipits flitting around on the rocks by the dam. The water was VERY low. Robin LaFortune ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
