Hi All, The "white" owl has morphed into a gull, thanks to Mr. A.X.H. and his ability to digitally enhance images. Both American Golden and Black-bellied plovers are still being seen on the wildlife drive - Stickney Pool area, but also possible on other pools/mud flats along the drive. The Sherburne Savanna Sitters team recorded 42 species today for The Big Sit! bird count. This is one less than our inaugural event in 2010, when we had 43. The count was conducted at refuge headquarters, where there are still plenty of white-throated, Harris's, fox and 1-2 white-crowned and Lincoln's sparrows to be seen.
