Normally the Surf Scoter at Lake Waconia on Saturday(thanks to the report by
Doug Kieser) would have been the highlight of the week. Today, though, a
Hudsonian Godwit was at Chevalle wetlands(Chaska) taking the honors for the
week. I believe this was a juvenile but could be wrong about that. Harris's
Sparrow continue to be quite numerous at Rapids Lake MVNWR. Their numbers did
decline today, but in their place was an increase(again) of Lincoln's and
White-crowned. American Tree Sparrows have also begun to make their way to
the refuge for the winter.
