There's a flock of 25-30 common redpolls near Donovan Lake, east of St. Cloud, 
this morning.  One bird in the group is very white compared to the others; I 
haven't been able to get a good enough look to see if it's a hoary or not.  The 
birds are feeding on weed seeds at a distance that requires a spotting scope.  
I'm hoping they'll make their way closer.
 
I'm working on my Benton County list, just since spring, and this is a new 
species for me.  Fun!
