Found a patch of nine Pine Grosbeaks in Foley this morning (sightings now two
days in a row). Check the Norman Ave S/Pine St neighborhoods of crab-apple
trees w/ fruit(SE sector off of Hwy 25/Hwy 23).
Anyone know the species-culture var. of these that hold fruit like this....sure
would like to plant some in my yard. (I've oft heard of "Red Splendor.")
Some of us up here also sighted the birds at SJU in Stearns last week. mjb
