The Prairie's Edge Wildlife Drive at Sherburne NWR will close to visitors on
December 31, or sooner if we get snow.  It's been very quiet out there,
bird-wise.  Less than 10 total species recorded yesterday, including American
tree sparrow, golden-crowned kinglet, bald eagles, rough-legged and red-tailed
hawks, and the three birds mentioned in the next paragraph.

I have a question ... If a single wild turkey, a single downy woodpecker and a
single common redpoll are all foraging within 20 feet of each other, is this
considered a "feeding flock"?
