Seasonally interesting sightings in Cass County during the past week include a Surf Scoter on Walker Bay (Leech Lake), and a Red-necked Grebe and 3 Bonaparte's Gulls on Gull Lake. There is still a good amount of open water on area lakes, but the next week may reduce that significantly.
