This year more than 900 people submitted 6600 images. 10 were ‘winners’. One of them is Bernard Friel who won the “Editors’ Choice” award in the professional category. This one is of a male cardinal in flight taken from his deck with four strobe lights and a trigger. Friel has won national photo contests before of birds in flight. It is his specialty I think. **** ** ** The magazine only printed the 10 winning images. But each image has photo spec info and text and quotes about the photo. On the website everyone can see 100 more pictures. Scroll down the home page to “Article”. Below that you will see two bird photos --- “2012 Audubon photography award winners” (10) and “Photo Awards Top 100”. Click on the dots to see the pictures. I tried to access the photos last night and wasted 15 minutes-- endless loops and no photos. maybe too much traffic. Anyway, I tried again and the links work.**** ** ** http://www.audubon.org/**** ** ** ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
