This morning signs of Spring were evident at the Bass Ponds NWR Long Meadow Lake Unit in Bloomington, Hennepin Co. Red-winged Blackbirds were singing on territory, Killdeer calling, 5 Great Blue Herons came gliding in to the pond effortlessly together, and a Tree swallow that skimmed the pond back and forth looking iridescent as it was highlighted in the sunshine.
